Years ago, Diane, in a leap of faith, took her relationship with Seamus to the next level. Diane felt it was time to bring Seamus to meet…"The Family." I am not referring to Diane's biological relatives but a small, close-knit clan which on some occasions can be overly critical of new members. Diane joined this group of Holiday revelers of her own free will during her impressionable college years.
Seamus fared well in his first campaign. Significantly outnumbered, Seamus remained upright after the initial barrage of verbal jabs and was quick to return fire. Seamus was immediately and unanimously accepted as an honorary Hobbs. Seamus’ adoption made us all officially, Irish! (Dad has always claimed we have Irish blood but is unable to produce proof.)
Seamus will be greatly missed but never forgotten from our reunions. Many of our family members are no longer physically sitting at the table but memories of Seamus will be recalled as we raise our glass prior to every meal.
Diane, Kristen,
We love you and grieve Seamus’ loss with the Murphy Family.
Love Always, Mary Ann, Ali, Abi and George
It is now time to celebrate the life of Seamus Murphy. Diane, Kristin, and Seamus have been good friends of my family for many years. Memories are the legacy of love. Diane and Kristin, I hope you remember you have friends who will listen and care...and I am one of them.
Love, Inge

What can I say about Seamus other than he had a huge impact on my life. It was my honor to have known him and have him as the grandfather of my children. I will never forget the day he held Anna Kelly, his first and only granddaughter, for the first time. Never was there a man who was more proud than that day.
I am personally saddened by Seamus' passing, but more so for Ryan, Anna and Matthew who will never really have the opportunity to get to know their grandfather, and what a wonderful man he was. He made me proud to be a Murphy :)
To all of the Murphy's, our thoughts and prayers are with each of you. To Diane, he was so fortunate to have you!
Love, Jennifer, Anna and Matt
