It was around 8 years ago that Cele Porter took me to Jimmy and Barbara’s house for a party. I didn’t know them yet and Cele insisted I bring my guitar to play, which I thought I’d be too shy to do. That’s where I met Chris and Sherry, Chris saw my guitar and went home and brought his over to the party. Barbara and Jimmy were so kind and welcoming and wanted Chris and me to play for the party. So we did, outside on their deck w everyone outside and singing along. It was so much fun for everyone. I’ll never forget that party or Barbara and Jimmy’s welcoming kindness. Always smiling! I can't picture Jimmy's face without a smile on it except when we were so very young. He was working on being a tough guy in those younger years. Truth be told, he was always such a brilliant light. He was an amazing and genuine man. I'm so sorry. Heartbroken for all of you.🙏 Oak Hill neighbors were always family and most still are to this day. Rest easy old friend. My deepest sympathy Barb.
