I met Jim when I joined the team at Patio Systems in Lewes, DE in 2017. At the time, I was a receptionist with aspirations of moving into sales, and Jim generously took me under his wing. He shared wisdom gathered from decades in the industry and encouraged me to take traditional sales practices and make them my own.
Through his genuine, joyful, people-first approach, he inspired me to turn sales into a low-pressure, educational experience. That mindset not only built deep trust with my clients, but also helped shape my growth and ultimately led me to the operational role I hold today.
Jim was charismatic, fun, and full of life. He had a twinkle in his eye and a true love for connecting with people. He brought laughter wherever he went and was always up to a good-natured prank. In fact, I still have the pink flamingo yard ornament that would mysteriously appear in our cars or on our front lawns—one of many memories that will always make me smile.
I will carry those memories, and his spirit, with me always.
