James D. Gruver's Obituary
James D. Gruver, age 60, of Lewes, DE, died suddenly on Saturday, July 14, 2007, at his residence. He was born February 12, 1947 in Pottsville, PA, son of the late John and Anna (Beneck) Gruver.
Mr. Gruver was currently employed by the Cape Henlopen School District as an algebra teacher at the Ninth Grade Academy. He was also an adjunct professor at Wilmington College. He was a member of the Henlopen Ruritan Club and a Trustee of the Swope Foundation.
He is survived by his wife Susan R. Gruver; two daughters, Laura Baker and her husband William of West Grove, PA and Lisa Sidorakis and her husband John of Baldwinsville, NY; nine grandchildren; seven brothers; one sister; numerous nieces and nephews; and his mother and father-in-law, Luther and Grace Schoffstall of Lewes.
Funeral services will be held at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes, on Wednesday, July 18, 3 PM, where friends may call two hours before the service. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 163, Salisbury, MD 21803-0163.
