I have great memories of my Uncle Sparky (I never knew of anyone who called him James Edward...he was always Sparky). He was always good to my Dad, Joe (one of his 4 eldest brothers). I remember visiting him when he ran his lumberyard with Uncle Bugs on Rehoboth Ave., and he would treat me to an ice-cold Coke (the small green bottle) out of their vending machine. Happy memories of when we would get together for family time with Aunt Barbara and Nancy. After my Dad died, he would faithfully visit my Mom, Iris, every week and would bring her zinnias and vegetables from his garden. What a great man! He loved my oyster dressing which I make for Christmas dinner; I tried to get over for a visit to drop it off to him each year. I'm sorry I cannot attend his funeral, as I have moved to the Hagerstown, MD area and it is a bit too far to drive in one day at this time. I will surely miss my Uncle Sparky, as he was my last living uncle.
