James Connor's Obituary
James W. Connor, age 81, of Georgetown, DE, died Wednesday, May 16, 2007, at his residence. Mr. Connor was born in Elkton, MD, son of the late George Edward Connor and Ruby Priscilla (Beauchamp) Connor. He had been employed as a painter in both residential and commercial painting. James loved to bowl and shoot pool and had earned several certificates through winning tournments at the Cheer Center. He was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Georgetown, DE since 1995. Mr. Connor was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
He is survived by One Daughter,
Audrey E. Connor; Five Sons and 4 daughters-in-law:
W. James Connor & wife Deborah; Charles A. Connor & wife Joyce; Ronald R. Connor & wife Jacque; John U. Connor & wife Kathy; and L. Martin Connor; 17 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Conner was predeceased by his wife Dorothy Virginia (Rogers) Conner in March 1993.
Memorial Services will be held on Sunday May 27, 2007 at 4:00 P.M. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, Route 9, Georgetown, DE, with Frank Bailey officiating. Interment will be private at Harbeson Cemetery in Harbeson, DE. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Delaware Hospice, 20167 Office Circle, Georgetown, DE 19947.
