James J. Bossert's Obituary
James J. Bossert, age 67, of Lewes, DE, passed away Sunday, April 9, 2006, at Beebe Medical Center in Lewes. He was born June 21, 1938 in Wilmington, DE, son of the late Frank Bossert and the late Anna (Devlin) Bossert.
Mr. Bossert became a full-time resident of Lewes in 1988 after vacationing in Lewes for 20 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was also a member of the American Legion Post #5 in Rehoboth Beach, VFW Post #7447 in Rehoboth Beach, DE, the Cape Henlopen Elks Lodge #2540, and the Lewes-Rehoboth Moose Lodge #646. James played the guitar, enjoyed fishing, metal detecting, kayaking, traveling and surfing. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Patricia A. (Morris) Bossert; a daughter, Lisa A. Fahey of Lewes; a son, Gerald W. Fahey and his wife Barbara of Newark, DE; three grandsons, Jacob, Nicholas and Vincent Fahey; a sister, Kathleen Johnson of Newark; and a brother, Frank Bossert of Orman Beach, FL.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, April 13, 11:00 AM, at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes, DE with Rev. Dr. Frank S. Deming, Jr. officiating. Friends may call prior to the service from 9-11 AM at the funeral home. Interment with Military Honors will be at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Millsboro, DE.
