James Bohan's Obituary
James Bohan, age 78, of Lewes, DE, died Wednesday, April 11, 2007, at Beebe Medical Center in Lewes. Mr. Bohan was born in Prospect Park, PA on November 2, 1928, son of the late Joseph and Hulda (White) Bohan. He had been employed as a mail carrier by the U.S. Postal Service for many years. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving during WWII in the area of atomic bomb testing. Mr. Bohan was a member of the American Legion Post # 28, Millsboro, DE; the VFW of Rehoboth Beach, DE; The Amvets and the Elks Club, both of Lewes, DE. He visited these service clubs each day, and the folks at these organizations were like a family to him. Mr. Bohan enjoyed life to the fullest. He loved to walk the Rehoboth Beach Boardwalk in the early morning.
Mr. Bohan was predeceased by his wife Elizabeth K. Bohan in 1999; three brothers: Thomas Bohan, William Bohan and Chuck Bohan; and one sister, Ruth Barker. He is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, and many friends from the service clubs.
Services will be private. Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Legion Post # 28, Millsboro, DE 19966.
