Jacqueline Gabrielle Manns' Obituary
Jacqueline Gabrielle Manns, age 71 of Georgetown, DE passed away on Sunday, July 17, 2022, at Beebe Healthcare, in Lewes, DE. She was born on June 13, 1951, in Philadelphia, PA, daughter of the late Karl and Gabrielle Gretz.
Mrs. Manns graduated from Central Bucks West High School in Doylestown, Pennsylvania, class of 1969. Following graduation, she attended the Sussex County Community College in NJ, obtaining an Associate degree in nursing and teaching, thus beginning a lifelong career.
Mrs. Manns was an active and devoted member in her church and community. She was the founding member of the St. John Vianny Catholic Church “Tag Sale” in Stockholm, NJ. A welcoming and kindhearted spirit, she had a lively sense of humor and always filled the room with love and positivity. She had many and varied interests and hobbies, including quilting and drinking wine on her porch in her rocking chair. Growing up she loved riding horses and swimming. Mrs. Manns' next greatest love was for animals whether it be horses, chickens, cats, dogs, or ducks. Above all, she cherished time spent with her family. Mrs. Manns was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her beloved husband, James Manns; her children: Christopher J. Manns; David W. Manns (Mary); Nicholas Manns (Neyda); Rebecca Knight (Travis), and Pamela J. Manns; her grandchildren: Hunter, Lucas, Kaitlyn, and Brady; her siblings: Karl Gretz, Danielle Buckley, and Michelle Mancuso; and her beloved dogs: Walter, Oreo, and Buddy.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, July 25, 2022, at 11:00 AM at St. Jude The Apostle Catholic Church,152 Tulip Drive, Lewes, DE, where friends may visit beginning at 10:00 AM.
