Jackie T. Alvarez's Obituary
Jackie Alvarez, age 91, of Lewes, DE, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 12, 2012, at Harbor Health Care & Rehabilitation Center in Lewes. Mrs. Alvarez was born in Grafton, WV on August 12, 1921, daughter of the late Henry Russell and Elizabeth (Newhouse) Trainum.
Mrs. Alvarez graduated from the University of West Virginia. She was a long time member of the Arden Players of Wilmington, DE and had the lead role in many productions. She was a thespian, a philanthropist, and was active in the early woman's rights movement.
Jackie is survived by her husband Miguel Alvarez of Newark, DE. She was loved and will be missed by her many friends.
