Obituary
Jack S. Fullerton, age 87, of Rehoboth Beach, DE, formerly of Fair Haven, MD and Barefoot Bay, FL, died Saturday, November 19, 2005, at Green Valley Terrace Nursing Home in Millsboro, DE. Mr. Fullerton was born on December 11, 1917 in Sebring, OH son of the late John Fullerton and the late Gertrude (Heltzel) Fullerton.
Mr. Fullerton spent his entire career with Drug Fair drug stores retiring as Director of Store Merchandising. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army fighting at the Battle of the Bulge during WW II. Mr. Fullerton loved surf fishing, he enjoyed walking the beaches, and raising his English bulldogs. He was a Methodist in good standing, always involved in various church activities.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Fullerton was preceded in death by his wife Florence Rose (Byrd) Fullerton to whom he was married for over 50 years and his brother, William Fullerton. He is survived by his daughter Sharon M. Shue and her husband William of Sterling, VA; his son Jack C. Fullerton and his wife Cathy of Gresham, OR; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and three brothers, Kenneth Fullerton and his wife Betty of Springfield, VA, Robert Fullerton and his wife Lorraine of FL, and Theodore Fullerton and his wife Betty of VA and a sister-in-law Avalon Fullerton of FL.
All services will be private. Arrangements are being handled by Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes, DE.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Delaware Hospice, 600 DuPont Highway, Suite 200, Georgetown, DE 19947.
