J. Richard "Dick" Walker's Obituary
James Richard "Dick" Walker, age 90, of Millsboro, DE, formerly of Levittown, PA, died Tuesday, May 27, at his residence. He was born July 28, 1917 in Philadelphia, PA son of the late George E. Van Martin and Florence Walker.
Dick enjoyed raising orchids in his greenhouse. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II serving in the Asiatic Pacific Theatre in Burma, India. He was a member of the VFW in Morrisville, PA and Oak Orchard, DE.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Marie C. (McGovern) Walker (1999). He is survived by his daughter Joyce E. Perroni and her husband Thomas of Morrisville, PA; two step-daughters, Elizabeth Seipp and her husband Edward of Langhorne, PA and Marie Mannion and her husband Jack of Venice, FL; two step-sons, Harry Webster and his wife Eleni of Greece and Chuck Webster of Washington State.
All services are private. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Delaware Hospice Center, 100 Patriot's Way, Milford, DE 19963.
