Irene P. K. Sorbara's Obituary
Irene Phillips Kelso Sorbara, 69 ,of Rehoboth Beach, DE passed away on August 19, 2007 at Harbor Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center, Lewes, DE. She was born on March 15, 1938 in Lewes, daughter of the late Hettie Mildred Moore Phillips and Clifford Futcher Phillips.
Mrs. Sorbara was an elementary school teacher for 30 years all in the Rehoboth Beach Elementary School. She was a member of the Rehoboth Presbyterian Church of Midway. She was a member of the Unity Chapter #16, Order of the Eastern Star, where she had served as Worthy Matron in 1985.
Mrs. Sorbara was predeceased by her first husband Hugh Kelso Jr. in 1970 and her second husband Rosario Salvatore Sorbara in 2006. Survivors include her Aunt, Margaret Moore of Rehoboth Beach, DE; her Uncle, Clifford Moore of Milford, DE; several cousins and friends; and all the children she taught and loved dearly.
Funeral Services will be held at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes, on Friday, August 24, 2007 at 10:00 AM with Rev. Ernie Olson and Rev. Keith Offen officiating.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday, August 23, 2007 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM where Eastern Star Services will be held at 7:30 PM.
Burial will be at Epworth Methodist Cemetery, in Rehoboth Beach, DE.
