Irene M. Edwards' Obituary
Irene M. Edwards, age 92 of Milton DE, passed away peacefully on October 19, 2017 at her home. Born in Dover, DE on June 29, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Anna Wellington. Irene was the beloved wife to the late Harold M. Edwards.
Throughout her life Irene was a natural caregiver and enjoyed a career as a lunch lady for the Garnet Valley School District in Glen Mills, PA. Earlier on, she was a member of the Parkside Fire Company and was very involved with her husband at the Chester Suburban Little League. Above all, Irene treasured time spent with her family. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, and she will be deeply and genuinely missed by all.
Irene is survived by her 3 children: Jane Williams, John Edwards, and Linda Schotanus; and her 11 grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at Mount Hope Cemetery, 4010 Concord Rd., Aston, PA on Saturday, October 21, 2017 at 11:00 AM.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the staff at Jenner's Pond in West Grove, PA for the excellent care and wonderful memories they provided during Irene's time there.
