Hugh A. Calder's Obituary
Hugh A. Calder, age 86 of Milton, DE, formerly of Baltimore, MD, passed away on Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at his home. He was born on August 20, 1932 in Baltimore, son of the late Robert B. and Catherine (Holland) Calder.
Mr. Calder built a lifelong career out of his passion for carpentry, working for Whiting & Turner and later, Good Samaritan Hospital, and was a loyal member of the Baltimore Carpenters Union, Local 101. His interests were many and varied and included home projects, which indulged his love of woodworking. He was an avid Baltimore sports fan, the Ravens and Orioles being among his favorites. Above all, Mr. Calder cherished time spent with his family and friends. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, and brother, who was loved by many and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Calder was preceded in death by his brothers and sisters. He is survived by his beloved wife of 40 years, Mary "Donna" Calder of Milton, DE; his sons: Donn Schroeder of Frederick, MD and David Schroeder of Millsboro, DE; and his sister, Gloria Agostini of Baltimore, MD.
