Hubert Ray Stanley's Obituary
Hubert Ray Stanley II, age 57 of Pocomoke, MD, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 25, 2023, after a hard-fought battle with pancreatic cancer.
Ray was born on July 10, 1965, in Salisbury, MD and graduated from Pocomoke High School in 1983. He went on to study at Campbell University and Salisbury State for a few years, but spent most of his life as a sought-after mason. There were few things that Ray couldn’t fix or build, with many seeking his knowledge, and he was always eager to help. He loved being on the water (especially if the fish were biting), outside tinkering, Kallia’s scrambled eggs, and his role as Grandpop. He will be greatly missed by many, including friends who were more like family to him.
Ray was preceded in death by his mother, Elizabeth Mary Stanley; his father and stepmother, Hubert Ray and Margaret Stanley; his sisters: Lavenia Marshall Ayers and Annette Donaway White; and his stepbrother, James Ennis. He is survived by his daughters: Kallia Westphal (Steven) and Paige Stanley; his grandchildren: Palmer, Abbott, and Maddox Westphal; his stepsiblings: Bobby Ennis (Vicky) and Billy Ennis (Joyce); and his many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of a service, the family asks that you enjoy your favorite beverage in his honor, or have a Heineken, his favorite.
