Howard was my father-in-law and someone I have known for 25 years. He was a man of integrity, honor, commitment and faith-qualities that may be thought of as old-fashioned in these times. I consider them timeless- and I will remember him with love and respect always.

It was a pleasure to have known Howard over the last 20 years. There are many memories that bring a smile and a laugh when recounting them. I still marvel at some of his projects that were built to withstand the test of time and the forces of Mother Nature. He had an analytical directness that could exasperate those unfamiliar with an engineering training but created lively debates and discussions for myself, my husband and others. And he was endearing in his interest and generosity. A truly memorable person and it was comforting to see his wit still intact on my last visit with Howard and Alice a few months ago. My warmest thoughts to Alice and the rest of his family.
