Hollis Morgan's Obituary
Hollis W. Morgan, age 85 of Lewes, DE, passed away Saturday, April 19, 2008, at his residence. He was born April 15, 1923 in Allegan, MI., son of the late Thomas and Bernice Morgan. He was a 1940 graduate of Allegan High School and a 1948 graduate of Western Michigan University . Mr. Morgan served in the US Army Air Corps during WWII.
During his time in Washington, DC, he worked for Congressmen Victor Knox and Edward Hutchison as an administrative assistant for more than 28 years. After retirement, he moved to Rehoboth Beach, Delaware.
His survivors include two sisters: Marian Tansky of Logan, Ohio and Maxine Woodhams of Allegan, MI; a brother Bernith Morgan of Allegan, MI; his life companion, Thomas P. Angelo, and many nieces and nephews.
Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, April 23, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. at Epworth United Methodist Church, 19285 Holland Glade Road, Rehoboth Beach, DE, where friends may call one hour prior to the services. Rev.Dr. Johnathan Baker will officiate.
Funeral services will also be held at Merson Church, Corner of 102 Second Avenue, M40 South, Allegan, MI on Saturday, April 26, 2008 at 11:00 a.m.where friends may call 1 hour prior to services at the church. Pastor Gail Pike will officiate. Interment will be at Mallory Cemetery, Trowbridge Township, Allegan, MI.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to the Epworth Methodist Church Building Fund, 19285 Holland Glade Road, Rehoboth Beach, DE 19971.
Delaware arrangements are being handled by Parsell Funeral Enterprises, Inc., 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes, DE.
