Hildegard "Hilda" E. Meisten's Obituary
Hildegard E. Meisten, known fondly to friends and family as Hilda, and Red to her beloved husband Thomas Meisten, passed away peacefully on January 28, 2024, at the age of 79. Born on May 5, 1944, in Brooklyn, NY, Hilda was a source of unwavering warmth and wisdom to all who knew her.
With the same care and precision that she used to master her beloved crossword puzzles, Hilda crafted a life rich with the joy of baking, the thrill of a good novel, and the love of her cherished cat Kissy. Her memory will be treasured by her devoted son, William Meisten, her loving daughter, Darlene Meisten-Piserchia and husband Frank Piserchia, and her adored grandchildren Nicole and Frank Piserchia.
Her lasting legacy is one of kindness, laughter, and the immeasurable impact she had on her family and dear friends, including Patricia Donovan, Carol Flynn, and cousin Roslyn Huff. Hilda will also be held in the hearts of her many nieces and nephews, who will continue to celebrate the beautiful life she lived.
