Hester B. Bunting's Obituary

Hester B. Bunting age 90 of Lewes, DE passed away on Thursday, May 7, 2020, at Harbor Health Care & Rehabilitation Center, in Lewes, DE after a hard fought battle with Covid 19. She was born April 1, 1930 in Lewes, DE, daughter of the late George and Bertha Legates Bennum. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Roland Donald Bunting, in May of 2006.
Mrs. Bunting was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a faithful Christian and member and organist of Conley's United Methodist Church. Hester retired as office manager from Cargill Poultry in Harbeson DE. Hester was accomplished seamstress and avid gardener and she enjoyed traveling, family gatherings and spending time outdoors soaking up the sun.
She is survived by two sons: Gregory W. Bunting and wife, Sharleen and son Donald A. Bunting and wife Earleen. Three grandchildren: Jesse R. Bunting and wife, Meagan and their children, Julia, Jeremy and Joanna and Jaime R. Bunting and husband Chris Homeister and Derek M. Bunting and wife, Jessica and several nieces, nephews and extended family whom she loved dearly.
Due to the Covid 19 Pandemic all services will be private.
Mrs. Bunting will be laid to rest beside her husband at Conley's Chapel Cemetery, Lewes, DE.
