I just learned of Chips passing. We had just spoken to one another a day or two before his demise. He told me he was in the hospital, but going home in a day or two. Chip and I met while "working" the mid shift at the State Department Ops Center in the summer of 1982. We became good friends and remained in touch through the years. I shall always remember Chip for his friendship, generosity and for his kindness to my children. My boys and I will miss him.
I grew up with Chip and was best man at his wedding. I was thinking about him the other day when I saw the announcement. Rest in peace my long time friend.
Darrell and I meet Chip at his art gallery in Bethesda, MD in the early 1980's. He was an engaging, knowledgeable and wonderful conversationalist. We enjoyed many meals, went on travels and enjoyed his company immensely. We will miss him dearly as well as our children who grew up knowing
Chip as their "uncle."
