I’m sorry to hear of Mr. Crowe’s passing....our thoughts and prayers to your family...I have many fond musical memories of Herb playing with my father during their careers and i remember how kind he was towards me as i was growing up...i’m sure he’ll be missed by everyone who knew him, and remembered for the special person he was, but be assured he’s strumming a banjo upstairs....Keith Webb
My name is Bob Waters, I first met Herb when I was ten or eleven years old and just learning the bagpipes with Bob Gilchrist, I went on to be in the City of Wilmington Pipe Band with Herb and others and treasure the memories. In my twenties I went with my parents and friends to hear him play and dance at the Hideaway on Ebright Road in North Wilmington. I visited him again several years ago as my brother Tim lived in the same park and let me know he was there and we talked about the old times. A great musician and a man I respected and admired very much. My condolences to all if your family. My brother Tim told me a piper would be at the service and I know Herb would cherish that.
Herb enriched my life through sharing his gift of music, his friendship, and his humor. I am so sorry to hear of his passing. Mary, you are in my thoughts and prayers.

DEAR MARY, JUST A WORD TO SAY SORRY I;AM TO READ ABOUT HERB;S PASSING U AND UR FAMILY R IN MY THOUGHT;S AND PRAYERS WALT HURST
I will always cherish the memories of my many conversations about old time music with Herb. He was so knowledgeable and leaves a void that won't be filled. He also loved a dumb joke and I am now stuck with tons of terrible humour and no recipient.
I got to play only one engagement with Herb in a Dixieland quartet at Nicola's Pizza. It went over like gangbusters and was a highlight of my season.
At ease submariner, you'll be sorely missed. Jim Garee Lot B-31
Now heaven has the best banjo player ever! Herb made so many people happy with his music. I remember "Little Helen" tapping her toes at her birthday party. I especially liked when he played "We'll Meet Again..don't know where, don't know when, but I know we'll meet again some sunny day..." So let's all remember that we'll all meet again...
He was a good person. So sorry for your loss.

Herb and Ellie, I am so sorry for your loss. My condolences to you and your family. Kate Ferris
