Henry Ralph Arnold's Obituary
Henry Ralph Arnold, age 88, of Frankford, DE passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 24, 2013 at Beebe Medical Center in Lewes, DE. He was born in Philadelphia, PA on October 28, 1924, son of the late Henry and Anna (Reustle) Arnold. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 29 years, Patricia (Axe) Arnold in February of 2013 and a son: George Arnold (2007).
Ralph served his country proudly with the US Army during WWII. He enjoyed a lifelong career as a Residential Contractor in the greater Philadelphia area. Later he would retire and relocate to Delaware where he could enjoy the beach life and boating. Ralph continued his love for working with his hands and was always available for any odd job one might be in need of. He was affectionately known by many as the "Wood Doctor." The last project to have the touch of Ralph's hands was for his church, Community Lutheran Church in Frankford, DE. He and his late wife Patricia were very passionate about worship, participating in Bible studies and volunteering wherever needed. He will be remembered as a loving father, grandfather and dear friend to many. Ralph's foot prints will be left on the hearts of many and greatly missed by all.
Ralph is survived by his son: Robert Arnold and wife Robin of East Harwich, MA; a daughter: Carole May and husband Jeff of Cornelius, NC, step-daughter: Vickie Johnson of Frankford, DE; six grandchildren; 1 step-grandson; 11 great-grandchildren and 1 step great-grandchild.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at 10:00 AM at Community Lutheran Church, 30897 Omar Road, Frankford, DE with a luncheon following services. Arrangements by Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Ocean View, DE.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Community Lutheran Church, 30897 Omar Road, Frankford, DE 19945.
