Henry "Hank" Luther Coble III's Obituary
Henry "Hank" L Coble III, age 67, of Bridgeville, DE, died unexpectedly on Saturday, May 7, 2011, at his residence.
Mr. Coble retried from Megee Motors of Georgetown, DE and recently had been working for Preston Mazda in Preston, MD.
He was born June 27, 1943 at MacDill Field, Tampa, FL and grew up after World War II in Greensboro, NC. After graduating from Ragsdale High School, he attended Kings Business College in Charlotte, NC. He worked in various sales jobs in Greensboro until being drafted into the U.S. Army. He served a deployment with Signal Corp in Vietnam during that war.
After his discharge at Frederick, MD, he worked with a finance company in Frederick and later moved to Wilmington, DE where he worked for a financial company and later was branch manager for CIT Financial Services. He later moved to Bridgeville where he was Patient Account Manager at Milford Memorial Hospital. He later worked for Delaware Trust Company in Dover and then he joined Megee Motors.
In Bridgeville he was active as a Lifetime Member of the Bridgeville Volunteer Fire Company. The joys of his life included fishing, golfing and vacationing in the Outer Banks of North Carolina and the Blue Ridge Parkway in Virginia.
He is survived by his wife Gerri(Kehlenbrink) Coble; two daughters: Marjorie "Nicole" Coble Daniels and Morgan Marie Coble, both of Bridgeville; a grandson Trey Kefauver; a granddaughter Deas Marie Daniels; his father Henry L. Coble, Jr. and step-mother Ruth S. Coble of Greensboro, NC; two sisters: Nancy Stowe of Gastonia, NC and Penny Mashburn of Franklinville, NC; a brother Paul "Tony" Coble of Greensboro, NC; and eight nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother Marilyn Coble and his brother John P. Coble.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, May 11, 2011 at 7:00 PM at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Hardesty Chapel, 202 Laws Street, Bridgeville, DE. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home from 5:00 to 7:00 PM, Wednesday. Interment will be private at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Millsboro, DE.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition, 111 W. 11th Street, Wilmington, DE 19801 or to the American Diabetes Association, 100 W. 10th Street, Ste. 1002, Wilmington, DE 19801.
