Henry P. DeGeorge's Obituary
Henry P. DeGeorge, age 73, of Ocean View, DE, died on Friday, July 05, 2013, at the Delaware Hospice Center, Milford, DE. He was born in Trenton, NJ, on January 15, 1940, son of the late Leon DeGeorge and Marie (Pantano) DeGeorge.
Mr. DeGeorge was a graduate of Trenton Catholic High School and attended St. Josephs University in Philadelphia, PA and later graduated from the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science with his BS in Pharmacy. Mr. DeGeorge spent a lifelong career spanning more than 50 years as a Pharmacist. He retired in 2001 from A&P as a Regional Director of Pharmacy for Super Fresh, but his work never really ended. He continued back to work at the Pharmacy at Superfresh in Rehoboth Beach, DE where he could continue his passion to help his community. In his free time, Mr. DeGeorge enjoyed tending to his garden and when it came to holidays, Chef DeGeorge came to town along with his homemade pasta and sauces. Mr. DeGeorge was a loving and devoted husband, father, brother, nephew and dear friends who will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his parents, Mr. DeGeorge was preceded in death by his son Peter D. DeGeorge in 1987. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years Angela (Montaldi) DeGeorge; his son, Henry L. DeGeorge and his wife Janice of Riverton, NJ; his daughter, Maria R. DeGeorge of Frankford, DE; three grandchildren: Peter, Christopher and Matthew DeGeorge; two brother-in-laws: Maurice Montaldi and his wife Tonie of Bethesda, MD and Anthony Montaldi of Trenton, NJ; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends. He will be especially missed by his little dog "Marshmallow".
Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, July 12, 2013, at 11:00 AM, at St. Ann Catholic Church, 691 Garfield Parkway, Bethany Beach, DE. Burial will be private at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Trenton, NJ. Arrangements are being handled by Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Clarksville Chapel, Ocean View, DE.
