Henny Stern's Obituary
Henny (Tarre) Stern, age 78, of Frankford, DE, passed away Friday, September 5, 2008, at her residence. She was born December 25, 1929 in The Hague, Netherlands, to the late Oswald and Jaantje (Blok) Tarre.
Ms. Stern graduated with the class of 1945 from M.U.L.O. High School in The Hague, Neverlands. She attended Trade School in the Hague from 1945-1947 , where she studied Cosmetology, while simultaneously working in Tarre Beauty Salon, also in The Hague. Her Cosmetology education was continued at Ecole Technique des Arts de la Coiffure in Paris, France from 1948-1950 and work experience expanded to Arvet-Thouvet, where she was employed from 1947-1949 in Paris. Robert Fielding then offered her employment in London, England, where she stayed from 1949-1951, before coming to the states, where she gained employment in Minnesota from 1951-1952. She attended Anderson Business College for four months in 1964 and the University of Minnesota from 1966-1968. Once she was married, Ms. Stern became a homemaker and took very good care of her family. She most recently worked in the day care field in Rehoboth Beach, DE.
She was a member of the Cochranville Fire Company Ladies Auxillary in PA.
Ms. Stern is survived by her son and daughter, Edward and Bettina Stern, both of Ocean View, DE and was predeceased by one son, Robert J. Stern.
