Helen Jean Messick's Obituary
Helen (Conaway) Messick of Rehoboth Beach, DE, after a short illness, passed away at home on October 18, 2005 where she was attended by her family. She was 76. Mrs. Messick was born August 23, 1929 in Georgetown, DE, daughter of Elsie (Baker) and Everette Conaway.
She was a graduate of Georgetown High School and Goldey-Beacom College. She worked as a stenographer for the DuPont Company in Seaford until becoming a homemaker and raising her family. She was a member and Charter President of Unit 5 American Legion Auxiliary, Henlopen Post 5 in Rehoboth Beach.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a daughter, Nancy Lee in 1971. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Richard Messick; a son Richard W. and his wife Lynda Messick; and two grandchildren, Will and Samantha, all of Georgetown.
