Truitt family, I am sorry to hear of the loss of your beloved one.
Though Helen made it very clear -- on many occasions -- how much she hated me, due to my black skin, I forgave her many years ago.
I truly pray she will rest in peace.

Truitt Family, your Mom was such a wonderful woman. She loved her family dearly and was a good christian. Such devotion to your father in bringing him to Bethel when he no longer was able to do so himself yet still staying true to her own Catholic Church. What an example and inspiration she was to all! It was always a pleasure to see her. We hope your memories bring you all much comfort in the days ahead as you learn to live on this earth without her. May God bless you all!

Our families go way back & I will always remember what dear friends your Mom & Dad were to my parents over the years. Helen was a very busy mother, along with working & all her many other activities! She was certainly very devoted to her faith & family. I think about seeing her bring your Dad to Bethel's 8 am service when he was no longer able to drive himself.
