Helen J. Burns' Obituary
Helen J. Burns, age 92, of Lewes, DE passed away on Wednesday, October 16, 2019, at the Delaware Hospice Center, in Milford, DE. She was born on February 10, 1927 in Summit, NJ, daughter of the late Martin and Katherine (Golembeski) Karpenski.
Mrs. Burns worked for Graymoor Press in Peekskill, NY where her and her husband, John, resided. She was most recently employed with Verizon as an installation and repair clerk, retiring in 1984., Mrs. Burns loved to sew, do needlepoint, and she loved to garden. Mr. and Mrs. Burns eventually moved to Lewes in 2006 to be closer to their daughters.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Burns is preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, John J. Burns and her son-in-law, Robert Beshara. She is survived by two daughters, Maureen (Burns) Bovich and her husband Jack and Patricia Burns-Beshara, all of Lewes, DE.
Mrs. Burns' family would like to thank the great team of care givers: Alta, Sheila, Cindy, Candice, Amanda, Andrew, as well as the Hospice Palliative Care visiting nurses, Lynn and Wendy.
