Helen Arns' Obituary
Helen Keaveney Arns, of Milton, DE, formerly of Fallston, MD, died Friday, November 9, 2007, at her residence. Mrs. Arns was born in Elizabeth, New Jersey, daughter of Julia (Monahan) and William Patrick Keaveney. She was a graduate of Battin High School. She had formerly been employed as a bookkeeper for Thomas & Betts Power Co in Newark, NJ. She was a fulltime homemaker, devoted Wife, Mother and Grandmother who loved spending time with her family. Mrs. Arns was a member of St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church, Lewes.
She was preceded in death by her husband Charles G. Arns (1985); and two brothers; William P. Keaveney II and Joseph Keaveney.
Mrs. Arns is survived by four daughters and their husbands:
Gerri J. Smith & husband Doug of Forest Hill, MD; Janet (Arns) Ray & husband John of Milton, DE;
Barbara Arns & husband Dr. Thomas Shaner of Hughesville, Pa; Susan A. Adams & husband Robert of Camden, DE; 6 grandchildren: Christopher & Jackie Barbour; Nicholas & Allison Adams; Samantha Smith and Charles Shaner; 2 brothers: Edward Keaveney of South River, NJ and Donald Keaveney of Roselle, NJ; and many nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Jude The Apostle Catholic Church, Route 1 at Five Points, Lewes at 11:00 AM Tuesday, November 13, 2007 with Father Jim Hreha officiating. Friends may call on Monday evening Nov.12, 2007 from 6 to 8 P.M. at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes, DE.
Interment will be in private in BelAir Memorial Gardens, BelAir, MD. In lieu of flowers, the family suggeste contributions to the American Lung Association of Delaware, 1021 Gilpin Avenue, Suite 202, Wilmington, DE 19806-3280.
