Heather Marie Weinkam-Carannante's Obituary
Heather Marie Weinkam-Carannante, age 44 of Bridgeville, DE and formerly of Baltimore, MD, passed away on Friday, October 15, 2021. She was born on November 3, 1976, in Baltimore, daughter of JoAnn Henson and the late Jeffrey Weinkam.
Heather was a graduate of Kennard-Dale High School in Fawn Grove, PA. She made a career as a baker and cook, working for various restaurants around the region. Heather had many interests and hobbies. She was a huge Brantley Gilbert fan, attending many concerts with friends. She was a loyal Dallas Cowboys supporter and rooted for them every game. Heather enjoyed going on cruises and spending weekends at her grandmother’s home. She loved sharing her talent and cooking delicious meals for her family. Above all, Heather cherished time spent with those she held most dear. She was a loving and devoted mother, daughter, granddaughter, and friend, who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her father, Heather was preceded in death by her grandfather, John Weinkam. She is survived by her beloved son, of whom she was so proud, Austin Weinkam-Wright, USAF, Tampa Bay, FL, and her birth son, Dakota Reynolds of Baltimore, MD; her mother and stepfather, JoAnn Henson and Mark Wheatley of Bridgeville, DE; her grandmother, Anna Weinkam of Essex, MD; her stepmother, Holly Weinkam; her sister, Katie Weinkam; and her many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 20, 2021, from 1:00PM to 4:00 PM, at Harrington Moose Lodge, Route 13 North, Harrington, DE, where friends may share memories beginning at 1:30 PM. The family requests casual attire for all who attend.
