She was a great woman full of love and giving. Always had time for my family and I. Loved my new family and called them her own. The last time I saw and talked to her was the tuesday before her passing. She told me she thought my wife, Jenn liked her. I laughed as I most offten did around her. I told her yes she does and not only did she like her she loved her as her Grandmom. She smiled that wonderful sly smile that only she had and said she thought so. I told her my step children called her Grandmom but called their Grand Parents by their first names. Again she smiled that smile that only she had and said that she was their Grandmom. She took my hand and looked at me and told me she thought Jenn was good for me as she so often did. I ask her if I wasn't good for her as well, the smile was wonderful! I told her how Jenn and I can talk about anything and how we just laugh and tease each other. She knew how I like to joke and I some how know I got that somewhat from her. She had that dry sense of humor at times that would just crack me up! We talked of other things but I think I'll keep those to myself, yes I will be selfish to a point because some memories I would like to keep to myself and in my heart. I will miss her soups, Greenwood chicken, and the Mayonnaise which of course had to be "real" and the Tabasco. She always had both and again I think I got my love for spicy things from her, she loved hot peppers! Hazel T. Russell was my Grandmom, my friend, and I will miss her. Grandmom, ask Grandpop when you see him what year it is now, you both know what I'm talking about. I Love You Grandmom and you will always be in my heart and the heart of many, many more.
