I was sadden to learn of Hayden's passing. We would talk periodically on the telephone.

My cousin Hayden was always quiet and pleasant to visit with. He loved working at the historical society. He would research a topic and then give me an article with information about it. My family had many family get togethers over the years at his mom's house in Vermont. We will miss our times together!
I will miss Hayden. I have know him for many years. I was with him in the hospital when his wife, Louise, died. Since then, I enjoyed his company during my frequent, and most recently, daily visits. I enjoyed sitting with him on his porch and our conversations. Anyone visiting his home could see how Hayden loved and cared for his cat.
When I would call and check on him and ask how he was, he always responded "No problems. Everything is fine." Grateful for a long and good life, he was contented and at peace.
I first met Hayden and his wife Louise at his neighbors, Anita and Muriel’s Saturday evening cocktail party on their porch. I knew him to be a kind, gentle, peace filled man. I will cherish my memory of having Thanksgiving dinner with him this past year. Our world was blessed by his presence.
