Harry Jay Catts' Obituary
Harry Jay Catts, age 65, of Millsboro, DE passed away on Friday, January 1, 2016 at his home. He was born Saturday, June 3, 1950 in Seaford, DE, son of the late Harry H. Catts and Helen (Smith) Catts.
In his teenage years, Harry worked at Lingo's Market and continued to work there part-time throughout his adult life. Harry was a 1970 graduate of Cape Henlopen High School. After graduation he worked for several years at the National Cash Register in Millsboro, DE. He later started his career with DuPont in Seaford, DE, from which he retired.
Since 1980, Jay was a very active member in the Cape Henlopen Elks #25450 where he served as the Tiler from 1982 until present. In his spare time, he enjoyed reading the newspaper. He was a loving son, brother, uncle, and friend.
Jay is survived by his two sisters: Robin Sutek and her husband Jerry of the Philippines and Jo Ann Catts Taylor of Rehoboth Beach, DE; his brother, Douglas B. Catts and his wife Debra of Dover, DE; and five nieces and nephews: Christina Caraballo and her husband Matthew of Washington, D.C., Michael D. Catts of New York, NY, Brian Taylor of Lewes, DE, Rebecca Taylor of Marietta, GA and Mary Bethany Sutek of the Philippines.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, January 9, 2016, at 11:00 AM, at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes, DE 19958, where friends may visit beginning at 10:00 AM. A burial will follow services at Epworth Methodist Cemetery, 187 Henlopen Avenue, Rehoboth Beach, DE.
