Harold Dwight Walker's Obituary
Harold Dwight Walker, 76, of Lewes, DE, formerly Newark, DE, died Sunday January 22, 2006 at the home of his daughter Melinda Fitzpatrick of Georgetown, DE. He was born on May 7, 1929, in Johnstown, PA, son of the late Alvin and Hilda May (Buham) Walker.
Mr. Walker was employed by AT & T as a District Supervisor in the Wilmington area, retiring in 1982 after 30 years of service. He enjoyed working outdoors, boating, cooking and he helped to build his former home. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge #1, Wilmington DE and the Nur Temple.
Survivors include his wife Jane Vivian (White) Walker; three daughters, Melinda Fitzpatrick of Georgetown, DE; Melissa Walker of Georgetown, and Cindy Woodring of Long Beach, CA; two sons, Dwight Walker of New Castle, DE and Brent Hewes of Anchorage, Alaska; and eight grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held at Epworth United Methodist Church, 20 Baltimore Avenue, Rehoboth Beach, DE on Thursday, January 26, 2006 at 11:00 AM with the Rev. Jack Abel officiating. Friends may call at the Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins- Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Highway on Wednesday, January 25, 2006 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM where Masonic services will be held at 7 PM. Interment will be at Epworth Methodist Cemetery, in Rehoboth Beach, DE .
