Harold August Kledt's Obituary
Harold A. Kledt, of Claymont, DE, went to eternal peace on May 28, 2010. He died at the Delaware Hospice Center, Milford, DE.
Harold was born in Chatham, NJ on July 1,1934. He graduated from Ramsey High School in 1952. Harold attended college at Colorado State graduating in 1956. He served in the USAF where he piloted jets and reached the rank of Lieutenant before an honorable discharge. He then went onto a lifelong career in the airline business, first with Pan American, then Delta, retiring in 1999 after 36 years of service.
Harold had a love of traveling, visiting all 50 states and traveled extensively in Europe, spending his 25th wedding anniversary with his beloved wife, Janet, exploring China and Hong Kong.
He is predeceased by his beloved parents, Richard and Josephine and younger brother Manfred.
He is survived by his wife, Janet and their two daughters Denise Kledt and Josiane Kennedy, his son-in-law Rick, and his grandchildren Todd and Hannah. He is also survived by his older brother Norman Kledt and numerous nieces, nephews and sisters-in-law. Harold will be cremated and his ashes will reside where he has always wanted to be, with his family.
All services will be private. Arrangements are being handled by Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Lewes, DE.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to either Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963, or to Claymont Fire Company, 3223 Philadelphia Pike, Claymont DE 19703.
The family thanks all the hospice workers and paramedics for their generosity and caring during this difficult time.
