Harold George Herman, age 71 of Lewes, DE and formerly of Woodbine, MD, passed away on Wednesday, March 20, 2019, at Beebe Healthcare, in Lewes. He was born October 31, 1947 in Baltimore, MD, son of the late Harold George Herman, Sr. and Hazel Herman.
Mr. Herman retired as a supervisor from Verizon several years ago after a 37 plus career. He enjoyed reading, going to car shows, and enjoying his Mustang automobile. He was also a member of the Elks Lodge 2540, Lewes, DE and the Sons of the American Legion, Lewes, DE.
He is survived by his wife, Aileen Strimel Herman of Lewes, DE; his daughter, Kerrie McDermitt (Tom) of Lusby, Maryland and their children, Colin and Declan McDermitt; his son, Charles Herman of Burtonsville, MD and his daughter Kasey Herman; his daughter, Jennifer Parks of Maryland; and his two brothers: Robert Herman (Darlene) and Dennis Herman (Sharon), all of Milton, DE.
A viewing will held on Saturday, March 23, 2019 from 3:00 PM-5:00 PM at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes, DE. Services and burial will be private.
