H. "James" Haas' Obituary
H. James Haas of Millsboro, DE passed away on Wednesday, February 05, 2014, at his residence in Millsboro, DE. He was born Sunday, April 29, 1934 in Cheswold, DE, son of the late Harry and Florence Lillian (Spoerl) Haas.
Mr. Haas had an immense passion for cars which led him to begin his career working in various positions for Delaware Olds of Wilmington. As time progressed and as he moved downstate his many endeavors in the auto industry included being a partner in the NUCAR Toyota dealership and working at various positions with many different agencies, which included Diver Chevrolet, Millsboro Ford, Lewes Auto Mall, Boulevard Ford and completing his career with First State Chevrolet in Georgetown, DE. In his early years he enjoyed hunting and most recently was never far from a radio with it tuned to some type of Talk Radio Station.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Haas was predeceased by his wife, Elizabeth (Betty) Haas, who passed on February 6, 1998. He is survived by his children: Faith Lynch of Millsboro, DE; Jimmy Haas, Jr. of Treasure Island, FL; Susan Miller of Middletown, DE; Keith Haas of Millsboro, DE; Mark A. Haas of Seneca, SC; Debra Haas of Bear, DE; his sister, Virginia Sherman of Lewes, DE, eighteen grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.
A Celebration of his Life will be held on Sunday, February 09, 2014, at 3:00 PM at the Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes, DE where friends may visit one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
Graveside Services will be at 1:00 PM Monday February 10, 2014 at Gracelawn Memorial Park, 2220 N. Dupont Pkwy,New Castle, DE.
The family strongly suggests memorial contributions may be made to Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963
