Guenter E. Moeller's Obituary
Guenter E. Moeller, age 78, of Lewes, DE passed away Friday, July 28 at Harbor Healthcare & Rehab. Center in Lewes. Mr. Moeller was born March 18, 1928 in Hamburg, Germany son of the late Paul and Helen (Kost) Moeller.
Mr. Moeller and his wife moved to Sussex County in 1998 from Ridgewood, NJ, where they had lived for 38 years. Mr. Moeller had been employed as the Golf Club Manager at High Mountain Golf Club in Franklin Lakes, NJ for 20 years. He attended Cornell University for one year and was the author of a published novel in Germany, "It Is Not All Gold That Glitters."
Mr. Moeller is survived by his wife of 46 years Dolly (Apelles) Moeller; a daughter Caryn I. Rosica and her husband Michael G. of Hockessin, DE; a son Norbert P. Moeller of Wilmington, DE; a granddaughter, Lauren Rosica of Hockessin; and a sister Hildegard Eretge of Hamburg, Germany. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Reiner F. Moeller in 1992.
A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, August 2, 2 PM, at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes, where friends may call one hour prior to the service. A Graveside Service will be held Friday, August 4, 1 PM at George Washington Cemetery, 234 Paramus Road, Paramus, NJ. Friends may call at the Feeney Funeral Home, 232 Franklin Avenue, Ridgewood, NJ on Friday, 11 AM to 12 Noon.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Delaware Hospice, 20167 Office Circle, Georgetown, DE 19947.
