Grace Mae Williamson's Obituary
Grace Mae Williamson age 91, of Bridgeville, DE, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 28, 2013 at, Life Care at Lofland Park, Seaford, DE with her loving family by her side. She was born in Brookview, MD on Thursday, July 14, 1921, daughter of the late Williams C. and Elizabeth (Ensley) Hastings. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Perry Williamson (1994) and her son Robert Williamson.
Mrs. Williamson spent her life devoted to her husband, children and grandchildren. When not tending to her home and family, she was an assembly line worker at the Excelsior Pearl Button Works in Milton for 20 years. After leaving the factory, she was a cafeteria worker at North Caroline High School in Denton, MD until she retired in the mid 1960's. Mrs. Williamson was an active and faith-filled member of Union United Methodist Church in Bridgeville; she loved watching baseball; and applauding the accomplishments of her loving family.
She is survived by three sons: Richard Williamson and his companion Trish of Las Vegas, NV, Victor Williamson and wife Penny of Bridgeville, and Wayne Williamson and wife Patricia of Smith, AL; eight grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, Februay 1, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Hardesty Chapel, 202 Laws Street, Bridgeville, DE; the Rev. Gary Tulak will be officiating. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home on Friday beginning at 10:00 AM. Interment will be in Bridgeville Cemetery following the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Life Care at Lofland Park, ATTN: Dementia Unit, 715 E. King Street,, Seaford, DE 19973.
