Gisela and I met when we were in Bible Study Fellowship. She was in my discussion group in 2005. We became close friends because of our German heritage. After she met my husband, we enjoyed having lunch together at Baywood a few times over the years. She would share during our phone conversations how much she loved the animals that would come and visit her and she named them all, especially the feral cats. She fed them and didn't want any of them to suffer. Her husband Bill even brought one home that was just a tiny kitten, Samantha. Once when I was over she even hand fed a raccoon a hot dog from her hand.
We loved her and will miss her. May God's peace be with her and her family.
