Giovanna Cappuccino's Obituary
Giovanna "Joanne" Cappuccino age 69 of Rehoboth Beach, DE, passed away peacefully in her sleep with family and friends by her side on Saturday, May 28, 2011. She was born in Portsmouth, VA, on Friday, November 14, 1941 daughter of the late Peter J. and Theresa Sottosanti Consales. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two daughters, Rose A. Bender and Donna M. Cappuccino.
Joanne retired to Rehoboth Beach, DE in May of 1999 with her life partner, Jeffrey C. Garrison. She enjoyed spending their winter months at their second residence in Stuart, FL and was active annually in her community bowling league. She enjoyed weekly bingo at the community center and the occasional trip to her local casino. She was a loving, loyal and compassionate mother and friend. She will be sorely missed by all those who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her long time love and life partner, Jeffrey C. Garrison; three daughters: Teresa A. Bruno, Lorraine Cappuccino and Patricia A. Cappuccino; three sons: Anthony Cappuccino, Nicholas Harney and Christopher Cappuccino; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, June 1, 2011 at 11:00 AM at the Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes, DE. The family will greet friends at the funeral home beginning at 10:00 AM. Interment will be private.
