Geraldine M. Pointer's Obituary
Geraldine M. Pointer (Helpa), age 80 of Bridgeville, DE, passed away on Wednesday, October 6, 2021, at The Landings of Gainesville, Georgia. She was born in Trainer, PA on February 28, 1941, daughter of the late Michael Joseph and Mildred Elizabeth (Ward) Helpa.
Mrs. Pointer received her Nursing Degree and proudly served as a Licensed Practical Nurse for many years. Mrs. Pointer enjoyed traveling in her spare time, she loved listening to southern gospel music and admiring the beauty of flowers. She was a member of the Atlanta Road Alliance Church in Seaford, DE where she helped lead the Senior Ministry.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Pointer was preceded in death by her husband, Douglas Dalton Pointer, and son, Michael Pointer. She is survived by her sister, Martha Kulakowski; her brothers: John Helpa, and Sonny Helpa; her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Winfred and Louise Pointer; and many nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, October 14, 2021, at 11:00 PM, at Atlanta Road Alliance Church, 22625 Atlanta Road, Seaford, DE, where friends may call beginning at 10:00 AM.
Interment will be held on Friday, October 15, 2021, at 11:00 AM, at Lawn Croft Cemetery, 1000 West Ridge Road, Linwood, PA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Mrs. Pointer's memory to the Atlanta Road Alliance Church, 22625 Atlanta Road, Seaford, DE 19973.
