Gerald "Jerry" A. Toewe's Obituary
Gerald "Jerry" A. Toewe, age 73, of Lansdale, PA passed away on Wednesday, November 4, 2015 in Lewes, DE. He was born on August 10, 1942 in Philadelphia, PA, son of the late Dr. Clinton Herbert Toewe and Wilhelmina (Edwards) Toewe.
Mr. Toewe proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam conflict where he served in the military police. After his honorable discharge, he embarked on a career as a Credit Analyst for the Department of Defense.
Mr. Toewe was a member of the Lewes Senior Center, the American Legion Post #17 in Lewes, DE and the Masonic Lodge #41 in Hightstown, NJ.
Mr. Toewe loved building model HO railroad sets. Throughout the years, he also accumulated a large collection of various bottles and Civil War memorabilia.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Toewe was preceded in death by his brother, Dr. Clinton Toewe. He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Carole (Rice) Toewe; a son, Jeffrey C. Toewe and his wife Natalie of Boca Raton, FL; a daughter, Christina Penney and her husband John of Cranbury, NJ; four grandchildren, Jake, Jeffrey, Joseph and Troy; a sister-in-law, Dr. Carol Toewe of Virginia Beach, VA; two nieces and one nephew.
