Gerald R. Huss' Obituary
Gerald R. Huss, age 74 of Lewes, DE, passed away tragically on Saturday, December 24, 2022, in Lewes. He was born on March 25, 1948, in Tiffin, OH, son of the late Oswald and Bernadine (Elchert) Huss.
Mr. Huss built an illustrious career in IT, working for such agencies as the Pentagon, the US Treasury Department, the US Information Agency, and various other government and private computer service companies. He was a proud veteran and honorably served in the US Air Force. Mr. Huss was an avid traveler, enjoyed playing golf and many family games, and had a particular fondness for British television shows. He was also a member of the Elks Club. Above all, Mr. Huss cherished time spent with those he held most dear. He was a caring and dedicated husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. Loved by many, he will be genuinely missed by all who had the good fortune to know him.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Huss was preceded in death by his daughter, Jessica Guida; his granddaughter, Jovie Wright; and his sisters: Sharon Reis and Joanne Reinhart. He is survived by his beloved wife, Debra Huss of Lewes, DE; his sons: Ryan Huss (Stephanie) of Claymont, DE and Vincent Guida (Rebecca) of Downingtown, PA; his son-in-law, Jason Wright of Temple, PA; his grandchildren: Christian Guida and Cole Wright, both of Temple, PA; his siblings: Annetta Mathias of Alvada, OH, Lois Camper of Apache Junction, AZ, and Thomas Reis of Tiffin, OH; and his many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 21, 2023, at 11:00 AM, at Bethel United Methodist Church, 129 West 4th Street, Lewes, DE, where friends may visit beginning at 10:00 AM.

Interment will take place on Monday, January 23, 2023, at 11:00 AM, at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 26669 Patriots Way, Millsboro, DE.
