Georgie Hope Shaw's Obituary
Georgie Hope Shaw, passed away peacefully on August 4, 2024, at the age of 88 in Millsboro, Delaware. She was born on July 2, 1936, in Cumberland, Maryland, daughter of the late George and Martha (Powell) Miller.
Georgie's life was a testament to her unwavering kindness and her ability to nurture the hearts of those around her. She was the beloved wife of the late William C. Shaw Sr., and together they built a legacy of love and family. Her memory will be cherished by her devoted children, William C. Shaw Jr. (Debra) and Georgette Renae Kirkpatrick (Edward), all of whom reside in Millsboro, DE. Her brothers, Jim and Joe Miller of Maryland, also survive her.
Her spirit will live on through her five grandchildren, Mark Baull (Carla) of Salisbury, MD, Matthew Baull of Millsboro, DE, Scott Kirkpatrick (Holly) of Millsboro, DE, Samantha Kirkpatrick of Texas, and Sabrina Kirkpatrick of Seaford, DE. Georgie was also blessed with 17 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren, who will carry forward her legacy of love.
Georgie's passion for teaching and her love for baking enriched many lives. She taught Sunday school in Ohio, leaving a lasting impact on her students. Her talent for cake decorating was shared with many through the Wilton cake decorating classes she taught, spreading joy and creativity.
Georgie will be remembered by all who knew her as a loving, kind, and generous soul. Her warmth and grace touched countless lives, and her memory will be held close in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know her.
