Georgia Harriet Hall's Obituary
Georgia Harriet (Dawes) Hall
April 14, 1943 – October 26, 2025
Georgia Harriet (Dawes) Hall, beloved wife, mother, Nana, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on October 26th at the age of 82.
Born on April 14, 1943, in Washington, D.C., Georgia was the daughter of George Harry Dawes and Josephine Frances DeHart Dawes. She grew up in Clinton, Maryland, alongside her six siblings. Georgia was an excellent student who loved spending time at local teen clubs and competing in dance contests—her energy and joy for life were evident even then.
As a young woman, Georgia began her professional career with the U.S. Postal Service and later with the Department of Justice. In 1963, she married the love of her life, Richard Hall, with whom she shared 48 wonderful years of marriage. After the birth of their two children, Georgia dedicated several years to her most cherished role as Chief Operating Officer of the Hall household—creating a loving, welcoming home where family and friends were always made to feel special.
In later years, Georgia returned to the workforce as an office manager at Hyak Laboratories, an engineering firm where she was admired for her warmth, dedication, and professionalism.
Georgia was a devoted wife, mother, and Nana who found joy in cooking delicious meals, hosting family get-togethers, tending to her garden, and reading. She was a lifelong learner with a particular interest in the stock market. Her love for animals was unmistakable, and they loved her right back. Georgia never met a stranger—her kindness, quick wit, and easy smile made everyone feel like family.
She was predeceased by her husband, Richard Hall; her father, George Dawes; her mother, Josephine Mullings; her stepfather, Marshall Mullings; her sisters, Mary Perrie and Janice Centra; and her brothers, Wayne Mullings and Harvey Mullings.
She is survived by her children, Becky Hall (Tom Angus) and Kevin Hall (Julie Tran); her grandchildren, Tyler Hall, Brenden Hall, and Justin Hall; her sister, Joyce Trimboli; her brother, Larry Mullings; and her beloved cats, Tango, Tessa, Cruz, and Luna.
Georgia’s life was one of love, laughter, and generosity. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
