George William Ginexi, age 44 of Lewes, DE, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, December 31, 2019 at Bayhealth Hospital in Milford, DE. He was born on August 1, 1975 in Boonton, NJ, son of Anthony C. and Lynne P. (Carter) Ginexi of Lewes, DE, formerly of Parsippany, NJ.
George grew up in New Jersey and graduated from Parsippany High School in 1993. Throughout his multi-faceted career, he worked with Stonegate Landscaping, as well as at numerous other jobs in the mechanical field, including heavy equipment operations and welding. He became a certified scuba diver, having gone through his training with his uncle, Dennis Quardt. Above all, George cherished time spent with those he held most dear. He was a loving and devoted father, son, brother, uncle, nephew, and friend. He was much loved and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
George was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Matilda and George Ginexi; and by his maternal grandparents, Dorothy and William Carter. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his son, William Kieth Ginexi of Budd Lake, NJ; his brothers: Anthony Ginexi, Jr. (David) and Joseph Ginexi; his sisters: Dorothy Murr (Michael) and Jennifer Perna (Frank); his nieces: Nicole Murr, Jessica Murr, Frankie Lynne Perna, Maddison Perna, Charlee Perna, and Billie Perna; and his beloved aunt, Mary Ann Ginexi Quardt.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, January 7, 2020 at 11:00 AM, at St. Jude the Apostle Church, 152 Tulip Drive, Lewes, DE, where friends may visit beginning at 10:00 AM. Entombment will follow the Mass at Bethel Methodist Mausoleum, Savannah Road, Lewes, DE.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions in George's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
