George Robert Dumont's Obituary
George Robert Dumont, age 88 of Lewes, DE passed away on Tuesday, January 9, 2024, at his late residence. He was born July 12, 1935 in Brooklyn, NY, son of the late George Andrew and Margaret Lozito Dumont.
George’s career as a design engineer spanned thirty years, employed by Grumman Aerospace on Long Island, New York. He proudly served eight years as a radarman in the U.S. Navy Reserves.
George is survived by his wife Margaret Marcoccio Dumont whom he married on July 11, 1959, in Brooklyn, New York; his two children, Denise and Michael and his grandchildren, Andrea, Amanda and Angela.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday January 16, 2024, at 11 AM at St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church, 152 Tulip Drive, Lewes, DE where viewing will begin at 10 AM. Interment will be held privately on Wednesday at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Dagsboro, DE.
