George Hudson Lynch's Obituary
George Hudson Lynch, Jr., age 63, of Lincoln, DE, passed away peacefully with his daughters at his side on Thursday, September 16, 2010 at Bayhealth Center - Milford. He was born in Lewes, DE, on Tuesday, August 12, 1947 son of the late George H. Lynch who passed in 2006, and Dorothy Johnson Lynch of Milford, DE.
Mr. Lynch was a Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War. He retired in 1997 as Asst. Chief at the Dover Air force Base Fire Department after 25 years of civil service. He was an avid outdoorsman, sportsman, and hunter. His memberships included Ducks Unlimited and the NRA. George was also an ASA umpire for high school and slow pitch softball. He will always be remembered as a loving son, father and grandfather who departed this life to be with his father whom he adored and missed greatly.
In addition to his mother he is survived by his daughters Leslie McMillan and husband Mike of Lincoln, DE and Jennifer Lynch of Wilmington, DE, Grandchildren, Brody McMillan, Marlie McMillan, Tyrone Girven, Jr. , and two dear friends David Curnock and Archie Carey
Graveside Services will be held on Wednesday, September 22, 2010, at 11:00 AM, at Lewes Presbyterian Church Cemetery,133 Kings Highway, Lewes, DE with the Rev. Harry Hughes officiating.
Friends may call on Tuesday evening Sept. 21, 2010 from 6-8 PM at the Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes, DE 19958
